I went to a sidewalk chalk festival this weekend.

Yup, spent Saturday afternoon checking out some sidewalk chalk art in Pasadena. It was pretty impressive. Here's a bit of what we saw:

This one was my favorite.

These people were working hard. I'm not afraid to admit that I have no idea what it was they were trying to create.

Happy Father's Day!

Blue is used at the competition more than any other color.

A work in progress.

It was a good festival. Actually, my entire weekend was good. Saturday morning I went hiking (firm event) and then I kind of got lost on my way home and ended up book shopping for a while. I finished a bunch of journal work Saturday evening (a little pathetic? yes, but it was necessary). On Sunday, there was the sidewalk chalk, followed by a BBQ, dinner with some friends from school, and Entourage. All good stuff.
